Acupuncture
The Qi or vital force flows through the body along a system of pathways referred to as meridians. Qi can get sluggish or stuck in particular areas and needling helps improve the flow. Fine, sterile, single use needles are inserted in specific acupuncture points to assist in rebalancing of the body's energy (Qi) and reduce pain. Acupuncture helps treat the whole body not just the area concerned. Regular treatments help maintain health and vitality and the majority of people find treatments very relaxing.
Tui Na
The “grandmother” of all massage systems is a massage based modality that sits alongside Acupuncture and Herbal medicine under the umbrella of Chinese medicine. During Tui Na different massage techniques are used over the body following the same principles and pathways as acupuncture helping the body in the same way as acupuncture to become healthy again but with a hands only approach. Tui Na is especially useful in treating those who are sensitive to needles or elderly and / or frail and works especially well on both female health and emotional and mental well-being.
Gua Sha

This is generally performed on the back, upper shoulders and neck area and is very beneficial for improving blood flow and reducing inflammation
Cupping
Fire cupping helps move the Qi and blood in the body, dispersing stagnation and eliminating pain. Cups are placed along the areas with muscle tightness and are either left in place for a short while or removed and replaced in quick succession. The cups create a suction when applied and help increase circulation and reduce lactic acid. The marks left by the cups are a diagnostic tool and will fade after a couple of days. Cupping is a popular treatment with Olympic swimmers.
Moxibustion
Moxa, mugwort or Artemesia Vulgaris is a herb which is used to warm acupuncture points to invigorate the flow of Qi and blood. The herb can be in the form of a stick or a cone and is placed on specific parts of the body to achieve a warming effect and boost circulation. It can be used to reduce inflammation and is especially helpful in treating fertility issues. A heat lamp can also be used to achieve similar effects.
